Coffee panna cotta is a tempting dessert that combines the creamy texture of classic panna cotta with the aromatic taste of filter coffee. This delicious dessert is easy to prepare and makes for a perfect end to any meal. Served with freshly whipped cream and a pinch of cocoa powder, it is a real treat!

Preparation 30 minutes Preparation 10 minutes
  • 400 ml cream
  • 100 ml filter coffee (strong brewed)
  • 80 g sugar
  • 2 sheets of gelatine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 100 ml whipped cream
  • Cocoa powder or chocolate chips

Preparation

  1. Prepare the gelatine: Soak the gelatine leaves in cold water for approx. 5-10 minutes until they are soft.
  2. Make the coffee and cream mixture: In a saucepan, combine the cream, filter coffee, sugar and vanilla extract. Heat over a medium heat until the sugar is completely dissolved. The mixture should not boil.
  3. Add the gelatine: Remove the pan from the heat and squeeze out the gelatine leaves. Stir the gelatine into the warm coffee and cream mixture until it has completely dissolved.
  4. Pour into ramekins: Pour the mixture evenly into small ramekins or glasses. Leave to cool slightly at room temperature before placing in the fridge for at least 4 hours (or overnight) until firm.
  5. Serve: Whip the whipped cream until stiff before serving. Carefully turn the panna cotta out onto a plate or serve it straight from the glass. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cocoa powder or chocolate shavings.
