Is eBBQ expensive? Electricity consumption and costs of electric barbecuing

Grilling on the SEVO offers a number of advantages: Not only is it easy and safe, but it's also really quick thanks to its 3,000 watts of power and 3-zone heating technology. The SEVO heats up from 0 to 500 °C in just 10 minutes, so you can start grilling straight away.

If you’re now thinking that the barbecue will certainly consume a lot of electricity and that barbecuing will therefore be particularly expensive, you’re wrong. We have calculated the average costs for different types of food and different operating times for you:

For example, grilling a sausage in normal mode at 340 °C for 15 minutes will cost you just €0.34.

For a steak seared for 4 minutes on the Boost Zone at 500 °C, you pay an average of €0.20 for electricity.

Pulled pork lasts the longest on the grill at 9 hours. However, as you operate the grill for this time with the indirect zone and only 120 °C, the costs amount to just €0.80.

*underlying electricity price of € 0.32 per KWh

This means that SEVO barbecues not only please the taste buds, but also the wallet and provide an efficient experience for the whole family.

That’s what we stand for.
